Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Jamie McFarland, a Louisiana Native, is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who always knew she wanted to be a nurse.  Her career began in 2010, after obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alcorn State University. Dr. McFarland has worked in various settings such as Acute Care, Telemetry, and Medical- Surgical. In 2013, after accepting a position as a Residential Charge Nurse in a mental health institution,

Dr. McFarland discovered her love for mental health which led her to pursue advance practice. Dr. McFarland holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Tennessee and specializes in mental health across the lifespan. She is committed to her clients and believes actively listening is the key to delivering safe, high quality, holistic care. In her leisure, she enjoys catching up on various Netflix series, traveling, and spending time with her family.
